Fundraiser Day – Hope Thrift Store
“Community is much more than belonging to something. It’s about doing something together that makes belonging better.”
On March 27, Katie Cares was invited to spend the day at Hope Thrift Store in Morden. Susie and team welcomed Ruth Reimer with open arms, she was invited to join in on the team meeting. She helped with several work tasks and enjoyed meeting the patrons of the store.
The day long fundraiser raised $2,928.75 for Katie Cares. Some of the money raised will be used for the compassionate fund at Katie’s Cottage. A huge thank you to Susie and the Hope Thrift Store volunteers for making the day so special and making Ruth feel so welcomed. A big thank you to everyone who purchased items and made donations to Katie Cares to make this fundraiser an enormous success.
