You can stay at Katie’s cottage for as long as you need to, as long as it’s during the duration of your loved one’s treatment.

Each room costs $45.20 per night. Plus, we charge a $10 refundable key deposit.

Yes! Katie’s Cottage is equipped with TVs in each room, which are hooked up to a satellite. The lounge also has a TV.

Yes, it is possible to do your laundry at the cottage. Please ask a staff member to help you operate our machines.

Yes! However, we ask that you clean up any food so that we can keep the cottage as clean as possible.

Yes, guests can come to Katie’s Cottage and enjoy a cup of coffee and dainties, while they wait for their loved ones. Guests can enjoy our comfortable and relaxing environment, there is no charge for this service.

Katie’s Cottage is located directly east of Boundary Trails Hospital. Located south of the junction of Highways 3 and 14.

Katie’s Cottage serves a continental breakfast, lunch, and supper are not provided.

We take the utmost care, to ensure that the cottage is clean. There is no time limit on how long we spend cleaning a room. All bedding, linens, and towels are removed and replaced with fresh and clean items. we take great care to maintain our standards of thorough cleanliness.

Each guest is given a key to enter the guest door, the key provides access to their room. The main building and inside is locked after hours.

Katie’s Cottage is funded through donations, fundraisers, and room rentals. We are not government-funded. Katie Cares/Katie’s Cottage holds charity status with CRA, which allows the charity to write official tax receipts.

You can help in a variety of ways. Through volunteering, knitting slippers, crocheting, or sewing lap blankets. Spread the word about Katie’s Cottage to your family, friends, neighbors, and people in your community. We also gratefully accept donations. All donations over $20.00 are eligible for a tax receipt.
