Several months ago, an invitation was given to Ruth to present to Winkler City Council.  The council had made a 5 year pledge to support Katie Cares.  The council agreed to pledge $1.00 per capita for a 5 year period, which ended this past May.  The council wanted to hear how the money was spent, and how it has made a difference to Katie’s Cottage and the community.

Katie’s Cottage project has been completed.  A side walk was built, along with Nature’s Nook, a concrete parking lot was also completed.  Along with a garage for storage.  The money was used to provide convenience to guests for the mentioned projects.
