August 3, 2016, Katie’s Cottage opened its doors. The dream of a 13-year-old girl, went from a dream to reality. The cottage has served many guests over the past seven years. We have hosted guests from across Manitoba, and Canada. Katie’s Cottage has experienced the birth of a child, we have served many guests during a winter storm, shared laughter, and tears together. We have stayed steadfast to the mission statement that Kaitlyn herself wrote.

The mission of Katie Cares/ Katie’s Cottage is to create and support programs that directly improve,

the health and well being of families.
