On May 29, 2019 the students at EMMS held a Taco-in-a-Bag lunch. The students worked hard planning and writing request letters to community businesses to assist in the fundraiser. The students sold 120 orders, which brought in $600.00. The Morden Area Foundation partnered to match funds that the students raised. The students exceeded their goal and were able to donate a total of $1477.10, with the help of the foundation. The cheque was presented on June 12, 2019.
The students heard the story of Kaitlyn and her dream and vision for her charity. Students got a tour of the cottage, and enjoyed freshly baked cookies! A big thanks goes out the students for their hard work. Many thanks go out to everyone who purchased a Taco-in-a-Bag, we appreciate your support of the charity. Last but certainly not least, a heartfelt thank you to Giant Tiger, Morden CO-OP and Morden Area Foundation for all of the support that you have shown and given to Katie Cares. We really could not do the work without the fantastic support that Katie Cares receives.
