We would like to share a story about an amazing and special girl. Cyrene has recently celebrated her 8^th birthday and wanted to give back in lieu of receiving gifts. She asks party guests to bring a Beanie Baby to her birthday party rather than a gift. Cyrene knows firsthand what it means to receive a Katie Cares Beanie Baby. She received a Beanie Baby when she was immunized, and her sister also received a Beanie Baby when she broke her arm. Cyrene’s mom was also a childhood cancer survivor – another reason she wanted to give back to Katie Cares.
