The Social Change Award is for an exceptional leader of a not-for-profit or charitable organization that is dedicated to helping others help themselves. They assist in causing social change and improving the quality of lives around us.
The RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards is the premier national awards program celebrating the achievements of the most successful in this inspiring group. Now in its 27th year, tens of thousands have been nominated and over 160 women have taken home the top awards for demonstrating excellence — from economic growth to social change, from local to global reach, across multiple sectors.
Ruth received the call yesterday. She was surprised with the nomination. But was quick to say the following: “ What an honour!! This award would not be possible if it was not for the following people, daughter Kaitlyn and her vision and gift, her husband Randy, son John and daughter in law Taylor, Clarke (granddaughter), family, Katie Cares Board, executive, staff, volunteers, all of the donors, and supporters who have given of their time, energy and financial resources. To all of these I am forever grateful for the fantastic support!”
The awards dinner is held in Toronto later this year. Good luck, Ruth
