Pictured: Homemade supper from January 16th

From January 15th to the 17th the temperatures dropped, and we didn’t want the guests to have to brave the cold in order satiate the age old drive to hunt and forage, so we served a Boston Pizza supper on January 15th, and then the next day we served a homemade supper of ham, baked potatoes, peas, and mandarin salad. On the morning of January the 17th the world was still under the thumb of Old Jack Frost so we at the Cottage served a hot breakfast of bacon, eggs, and hashbrowns. The guests were endlessly thankful that they were able to stay inside—where it’s warm—and for the hot meals!
