2 young girls and their siblings from Miami MB held a fundraiser outside of the variety store in the community. The girls sold pop, freezies, also sold a variety of vegetables from their own gardens. The girls also had crafts that they were selling. Emily and Sari even had co-ordinated their t-shirts to match.

These 2 young entrepreneurs raised a grand total of $470.90 which they presented to Ruth Reimer (Katie Cares rep) on August 17, 2020. Not only did the girls donated money but also donations of serviettes, cheez whiz, 2 boxes of granola bars, toilet paper, box of Dad’s cookies, knitted pair of slippers, 2 tea towels. All the items donated will be used at the cottage It was a pleasure to meet and visit with these two young ladies and their moms April and Nicole. They were excited and certainly had fun planning and making the fundraiser a success.

It is always a pleasure to meet children who want to give back. Their smiles and enthusiasm say it all! Thank you to the parents of Emily and Sari for supporting the girls in their venture to raise money for Katie Cares! Many thanks go out to everyone in Miami who supported the girls and Katie Cares. We appreciate the donations.
