A mom recently sent a story about her 8-month-old child. She gave permission to share this story.

Recently this beautiful little boy had health issues. He stopped breathing, he needed to be transported by ambulance to the hospital. The child continued to pass out and stop breathing. After one of his tests, a nurse gave the child a little puppy! Today the little boy is healthy and doing well. According to the baby’s mom, he has not let go of his puppy.

Kaitlyn had a vision to give children in hospital a stuffy. This story is a great example of what she wanted her charity to do. The Beanie Baby provided a distraction for the child, provided support in a scary time for baby and parents. We are happy to hear your son is doing better. Thank you for sharing your touching story.

This year Katie Cares has given out 1,510 to a variety of recipients in Southern Health. Due to not being able to hand out the Katie Care bags; more Beanie Babies are being handed out. Donations for this program are always being accepted and appreciated. Kaitlyn’s vision continues to thrive and carry on just like Kaitlyn had planned.
