On May 4, 2019 30 first and second year medical students descended onto Katie’s Cottage. The students heard Kaitlyn’s story, and vision from her mom Ruth. The students were visiting Boundary Trails Hospital. As part of their education to learn about rural medical life. The students also toured the Cottage, and saw and heard first hand the impact the Cottage has had on families who have had to be near to their loved ones. Thank you to the organizers of this event, for including Katie’s Cottage as one of the destinations for the students. Katie’s Cottage staff would like to wish the students all the best as they pursue they study and pursue their medical careers.
