Pastor Victoria from the Christian Life Center contacted Ruth Reimer. The first meeting scheduled had to be cancelled due to a winter storm. The presentation was rescheduled to February 15 to share the story about Katie Cares with the youth group. The youth group shared with Ruth that they were going to raise money that would be donated to the charity.
On June 7, the youth group presented Ruth with the $1,000.00 they raised! The students raised the money in various ways. One of the ways was that two girls got together and baked cookies and went door to door in the neighborhood and asked if residents wanted to buy, the money they raised would be given to Katie Cares. The girls raised $250.00 in one evening!! What a blessing.
