This year, Katie’s Cottage was granted a summer student grant. The grant was through the Manitoba government.

Nettie was hired for the summer student position. She has worked hard this summer, completing jobs that needed to be done. Some of the jobs that Nettie has done are, staining a picnic table, rocking chair, painting some inside walls, and painting the gazebo. Painting the gazebo was started on July 20 and was so necessary. The new paint job will give the gazebo a new look. The paint has been matched perfectly with the cottage.  She has also painted the planters, which has certainly brightened and cleaned up the planters. She has trimmed and cleaned up the walkway.

Thank you to Nettie for all your hard work and appreciate all you have done this summer. Thanks to Janzen Paint and Decorating for your assistance in matching up paint and getting everything ready for our projects at Katie’s Cottage. You made things so much easier for Nettie.
