Katie’s Cottage is excited to share the newest completed project, a pergola. The pergola is located on the east side of the cottage. The pergola was an important project. The aim was to build a shade structure that would provide shade throughout the day. The project goals have been met, and we are looking forward to warm summer days when guests will enjoy the beautiful space for many years! Lattice was also added to give a wind break from the north wind.
The project was funded by Kerry and Darlene Pollock in memory of Kerry’s dad who passed away October 1, 2020. A heartfelt thank you to Kerry and Darlene for your continued generous support. You made the project a reality and have given guests another peaceful place to sit and relax.
Thank you to Henry Friesen Canadian Lumber, for your assistance in giving us the advice to maximize the best way to provide a functional shade design. Lumber was purchased from Canadian Lumber and we thank you for being apart of the project. A big thank you to Malcom Doney Construction Services, Paul Kinsmen, and Gerry Enns for constructing the pergola. The pergola exceeded our expectations.
See it…Believe it…Achieve it…
