Katie Cares received a grant from the Garden Valley Collegiate Youth in Philanthropy group. This group of high school students works together for the school year, raising funds to donate to non-profit charity. Under the guidance of Winkler Community Foundation, a grant was submitted by Katie Cares to request a grant for fans. The fans were a request by guests who have stayed at Katie’s Cottage and filled out the survey cards. These cards are helpful as they provide great feedback to the cottage staff. Each guest room at Katie’s Cottage will be equipped with fans. Thank you to the Garden Valley Collegiate Youth in Philanthropy for your generous donation to Katie’s Cottage.
