On June 14th, 2014 Shear Bliss held their drive to collect pony tails for Angel Hair. This year Shear Bliss collected 250 pony tails. It takes 10-12 pony tails to make one wig. Each wig costs between $800.00-$1000.00. These pony tails are donated to Angel Hair an organization which makes the wigs. The wigs go to children who have lost their hair due to illnesses/cancer. The day was an emotional one, many children coming forward to donate as well as men and women of all ages for a variety of reasons. Katie Cares participated in the day by having a BBQ with the donations going to further the work of Katie Cares. The BBQ raised $803.00. Thank you to everyone who particpated in this very important cause, your donation will make a difference in the life of a child who is dealing with cancer.
