Marilyn contacted Ruth Reimer with a special donation. Her children, and grandchildren were building garden boxes. The boxes were built by her family, and they wanted to donate a portion of the proceeds to Katie’s Cottage. The family built a total of 42 garden boxes, and donated $500.00. Katie’s Cottage holds a special place in Marilyn’s family. A few years ago Marilyn’s mom was in Boundary Trails Hospital. While Marilyn’s extended family requested that the family enjoy one more Christmas together as a family. Katie’s Cottage staff accommodated this request, and the family was able to have one more Christmas together. Marilyn and her family wanted to give back to Katie’s Cottage.

A big thank you to everyone who purchased a garden box. Special thanks to Canadian Lumber Winkler for your contribution to the project. Katie Cares appreciates the tremendous support that we receive. Without the donations that the charity receives we could not carry out the programs, and provide a home away from home. The money that was donated will be used to purchase Beanie Babies.
