It is with great excitement that Katie Cares, shares with you the progress of Katie’s Cottage! The main building is completed. Here are some facts about the cottage:

The main building weighs 96,000 lbs.
Walnut kitchen, designed, manufactured and installed by: Decor Cabinets, Morden MB.
2 dormer windows (great room and dining room), 13 main level windows, allowing natural light into the cottage
Highest ceiling point in the cottage 13 feet
Cottage is one level, with a heated crawl space
8 bedrooms: private bathrooms
Laundry facilities
Private meeting room

Library
Gas fireplace stone was done by: TRJ Stucco & Brick Ltd. Peter Reddecopp

We want to thank everyone for your support and encouragement. To the businesses we say thank you. A donor wall will feature the generosity of the donations. A big thank you to staff and management at Grandeur for allowing Katie Cares to view the progress weekly. A special thank you to Clint and Mike for the care to all the details and making sure that everything has gone smoothly. Also thanks to Cailtyn for taking the pictures and sending them to us weekly. It has truly been a pleasure to work with all of the business who have contributed to make Katie’s Cottage a reality. We look forward to opening day, the potential that the cottage will be for our local hospital and families who we will serve. SEE IT…BELIEVE IT…ACHIEVE IT….
