Kidney dialysis treatments are several hours long. These treatments are generally several times a week. This means that a patient will spend many hours in hospital hooked up to a machine. Katie Cares was made aware that there are several young people who need this type of treatment. Therefore it was decided to give an IPad to the kidney dialysis unit. Helen Kinsman presented an IPad on behalf of Katie Cares, accepting the gift is Laurie Magotiaux, charge nurse on this unit.
