See it... Believe it... Achieve it...

Katie’s Cottage is 4 years old! On August 3rd, 2016, the doors of the respite home opened. The cottage has been able to support many people over those 4 years. Providing support with a cup of coffee, a listening ear, a quiet peaceful place to sleep, or rest during the day.

Reflecting on the past years. The staff at Katie’s Cottage have met and served many people. We had the privilege of hearing many stories, shared in grief, sorrow, joy, and happiness. Moving forward the goal is always to put our guests first. Caring and giving back to those who have a loved one in hospital.

If you would like to donate to the charity you can do that in several ways.

You can drop in at the cottage to donate. You can also mail your donation to Katie Cares 255 13th St. Winkler, MB R6W 1S5, or make a donation online at www.katiecares.ca.

Katie Cares board, executive and the Reimer family (Randy, Ruth, John, and Clarke) are extremely proud that the dream of a 15-year-old girl came to life. Kaitlyn Reimer was the founder of Katie Cares. Her dream was to give back to her community. Katie’s Cottage meets this dream daily, providing a service which was and is much needed in our community. If you would like to stay at Katie’s Cottage, or you know someone who needs to use the respite home, please call 204-312-8445 to answer your questions you may have regarding the cottage. The Cottage is open to ANYONE who has a loved one in hospital. These facilities include Tabor Home Morden, Salem Home and Eden Mental Health Center in Winkler, and Boundary Trails Hospital.

It is with grateful and thankful heart that we convey our thanks. Without the tremendous support we could not have fulfilled the dream of Kaitlyn Reimer.

See it…Believe it…Achieve it…
